They say that the richest of the rich have an average of 7 income streams. Now, I may not be classifying myself with the wealthiest of the world, nor do I particularly want to be within their realm, but I am a big believer of having multiple sources of income.
I’ve been solely working for myself for a little over two years now, and if there is anything that I recommend listening to within all of the working online world chatter it’s to not have all your eggs in one basket, so to say. From a stability standpoint having multiple areas where you have the potential to earn an income is not only smart but also safe.
While I don’t solely rely on brand collabs or content photography gigs, I do appreciate having it as a creative side hustle. They’re also a great avenue for me to explore some of my other creative sides that I don’t get with my usual web development, SEO, and digital strategy clients.
I get to work with some of my favourite brands, discover some EPIC new products and get creative while making some extra money that month. (Like the Tesalate Sand Free Towels. They reached out for a collab and now I don’t know how I ever lived without these gems. Even more with #vanlife adventures in Vanny Devito.)
Step one: create a media kit and rate card.
Step two: start sending it and pitching to the brands you love.
Easy enough, right?
And I’m going to make it even easier.
I’ve turned the Media Kit and Content Photography Price Card that I personally designed & use to pitch to brands into a downloadable and easy to customise template on everyone’s favorite design hack platform: Canva
This media kit will work for both influencer pitching AND for content photography pitches. It is the exact design that I currently use to land collabs. Add in your best photos, shout out past clients, and have all your prices laid out in one place.
Have any questions about pitching or customising the template?? Shoot me a DM on Instagram and I can help out!
Happy pitching!
